firstly i wanted to create arches the the room that would resemble the interior of a church or cathedral etc... so i began with a cylinder which i then extruded upwards. then i extruded the top face round and at an angle each time in order to create the image shown.. this was i little time consuming as having to click in "extrude face" made it longer.
